I think graphite would burn off but I haven’t tried it but I do know that they make underglaze pencils that are just underglaze that you can draw with. I’m not sure the brand but I’m sure you can google it.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it would burn off, but I was thinking about drawing on it after it was fired.
I forgot about underglaze pencils, I’ve seen them at the clay supply store before. I feel like they would work more like colored pencils though and I cannot draw with colored pencils at all.
Dear potters and ceramicists of the world,
I just got a project idea, but I’m not sure if it will work.
Has anyone ever tried drawing on ceramic objects with graphite? How did it turn out? What clay body did you use? What if anything did you use to seal it?
Any input on this would be helpful.
Edit: I know that graphite burns off, my intention is to draw on the pieces after they have already been fired. I also remembered that underglaze pencils exist. I however have never used one. Do they work more like graphite pencils or colored pencils?
Not giving a fuck isn’t about not giving a fuck. It’s about fully embracing your natural capability to effortlessly weather any amount of suffering, loss, or change. In essence, it’s about pleasantly floating while the whole world franticly swims. And, if you’re good, it’s about teaching others to float with you. After all, life is better with company.
This is literally why I always talk about otters when I talk about life. We all must float as the otters do~~~(via abetterinsult)
